Iranian actor Shahab Hosseini is to stage 'Twelve Angry Men' next summer.

Iranian actor and director Shahab Hosseini has planned to stage 'Twelve Angry Men' next summer.

Hosseini, who staged 'Confess' last summer, will probably have actors such as Ali Nasirian and Ramin Nasser-Nassir in the cast.

'Twelve Angry Men' is a drama written by Reginald Rose concerning the jury of a homicide trial. It was broadcast initially as a television play in 1954.

The following year it was adapted for the stage, and in 1957 was made into a highly successful film. Since then it has been given numerous remakes, adaptations, and tributes.

Born in 1974, Hosseini started his TV career with hosting the TV show 'Oxygen' and then appeared in TV series such as 'After the Rain' in 2000.

His cinematic debut was in 'Rokhsareh'. His acting career took off with his performance in movies such as 'Fifth Reaction' for which he was nominated for a Golden Statue from the Iran Cinema Celebration.

His outstanding performance in 'Candle in the Wind' saw him nominated for the Golden Statue for best actor in a supporting role from the Iran Cinema Celebration and a Fajr International Film Festival's Crystal Simorgh.

In 2009, his outstanding performance in 'Superstar' won him a Crystal Simorgh from the Fajr International Film Festival .

In 2011, he won the prestigious Silver Berlin Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival for his memorable role in 'A Separation'. The role also earned him a nomination for the Chlotrudis Award at the Chlotrudis Society for Independent Film.

Hosseini won the best actor award at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for his role in Asghar Farhadi’s ‘The Salesman’.

In 2013 he experienced directing with 'The Resident of the Middle Floor' and later he directed 'Come with Me' in 2015.
